Karakulam Grama Panchayat
The Traffic Regulatory Committee is constituted to ensure road safety, improve traffic arrangements, reduce accident risks, and guarantee safe travel facilities for the general public and students within the grama panchayat areas.

- Identify accident-prone zones.
- Recommend the installation of safety warning boards.
🚦 Traffic Regulation
- Suggest traffic arrangements at busy junctions and public places.
- Provide recommendations on one-way traffic, parking regulations, etc.
🏫 School Zone Safety
- Arrange safe travel facilities near schools.
- Recommend the establishment of zebra crossings and speed breakers.
📢 Addressing Public Grievances
- Receive traffic-related complaints and provide remedial measures.
📚 Awareness Activities
- Organize road safety awareness programs.
- Create awareness among students and the public regarding traffic rules.
🤝 Inter-Departmental Coordination
- Work in cooperation with the Police, Motor Vehicles Department, and Public Works Department.
At the district level, the District Traffic Regulatory Committee functions to coordinate road safety activities and evaluate traffic regulatory measures across various local self-government institutions.
