Project Description

Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) is an initiative under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) that ensures 125 days of employment in a financial year for rural households. Along with increasing rural employment opportunities, the project prioritizes water conservation, natural resource management, greening initiatives, agricultural development, rural infrastructure development, and climate change resilience activities.

Key Services

  • Guarantees 125 days of employment to rural households.
  • Daily wages are paid directly into bank/post office accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  • Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards are provided to registered households.
  • Allows a 60-day break for sowing and harvesting for agricultural needs.
  • Transparent monitoring through digital systems such as biometric attendance, e-Muster, MIS, and GPS.

Who is Eligible?

Adult family members aged 18 and above residing in rural areas who are willing to do unskilled manual work can register for this scheme.

Benefits for Special Categories:

  • Special Rozgar Guarantee Cards will be issued to single women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens above 60 years of age, transgender individuals, PVTG groups, and released bonded laborers.

How to Get Employment

  • Applications for employment can be submitted directly at the Grama Panchayat or through digital systems.
  • Employment must be provided within 15 days of receiving the application.
  • Work will be allotted as much as possible within one's own ward or within a 5 km radius.
  • Priority is given to women, and at least one-third of the total beneficiaries will be women.

Wage Distribution

  • Wages are distributed directly through bank/post office accounts.
  • Wages must be made available within a maximum of 15 days after completion of work.
  • If wage payments are delayed, beneficiaries are entitled to statutory delay compensation as per the rules.
