❓ What is Jagratha Samithi?

Jagratha Samithi is a continuous local-level protection forum functioning to guarantee the rights of women and children, ensure their physical, mental, and life safety, and prevent atrocities, rights violations, and social boycotts against them.

The primary mission of the committee is to instantly intervene in urgent issues faced by women and children, ensuring necessary protection and legal assistance. The Jagratha Samithi can legally and socially intervene in cases and issues that otherwise might go unaddressed due to the absence of various committees or systems.

🎯 Aims and Objectives

01 Protect the rights of women and children and take strong interventions against atrocities, discriminations, exploitations, and rights violations directed at them.

02 Receive complaints involving women and children as parties and ensure remedies through prompt interventions and support systems.

03 Forward complaints that cannot be resolved directly by the committee to supplementary systems like the District Jagratha Samithi, Women's Commission, and legal aid agencies, and ensure follow-up actions.

04 Coordinate government schemes and agencies related to the protection of rights of women and girls.

05 Cooperate with other institutions working with similar objectives to implement joint activities.

06 Create a safe social environment free from any kind of atrocities against women and children.

07 Formulate people's collectives and social participation systems to ensure goal achievement.

08 Ensure social monitoring and support against anti-women and anti-child activities.
